Terms of Service
Effective: July 24, 2026 · Version 2.0 · ContactID Chrome Extension & Dashboard
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and WATCHTHEMLIVE ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of ContactID. They govern your use of the ContactID Chrome extension, the ContactID web dashboard, and every related service we provide. They are published at https://contactus-extension.watchthemlive.com/terms.
By installing the extension, creating an account, or using any part of the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ContactID.
Read section 5 carefully. ContactID sends messages through contact forms on websites you choose. You are the sender of those messages and you are legally responsible for them. We provide the tool. You provide the list, the content, and the lawful basis for contacting each recipient.
1. Who We Are
ContactID is operated by WATCHTHEMLIVE, a business established in Ontario, Canada. ContactID is part of the brandID family of products.
2. The Service
ContactID automates outreach through the contact forms published on websites you supply. In broad terms the service can:
- Import website lists in bulk from CSV, XLSX, TXT, or pasted text, and deduplicate them
- Visit each website, locate a contact form, and follow through to a contact page where the home page has none
- Fill that form using a sender profile you have created, and submit it
- Generate a personalized message per website using AI, where you enable that feature
- Attempt to resolve CAPTCHA challenges encountered during submission
- Rotate between sender profiles, report per-campaign results, and export them
Features evolve. Anything described on our marketing pages, in the dashboard, or in the extension is provided as it exists at the time you use it, and is subject to section 15.
What ContactID is not
- It is not an email service, and it does not send email on your behalf
- It does not provide, sell, or verify the website lists you import
- It does not guarantee delivery, receipt, reading, or any reply
- It does not provide legal advice about whether your outreach is lawful in any jurisdiction
3. Eligibility and Your Account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current
- You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it
- One person or organisation per account. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits, trials, or promotional access is prohibited and is grounds for termination without refund
- You must keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access
Sessions remain valid for up to 30 days and extend as you keep using the service. You may sign out at any time from the extension or the dashboard.
4. Acceptable Use
4.1 You may
- Use ContactID for lawful business outreach, partnership enquiries, sales prospecting, recruitment, and similar commercial communication
- Store and manage sender profiles containing your own or your organisation's contact details
- Import website lists that you have obtained lawfully
- Export your own results and profiles
4.2 You may not
- Send content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, or that infringes anyone's rights
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent who is sending the message or on whose behalf
- Send phishing, malware, scam, adult, gambling, or other prohibited content, or promote illegal products or services
- Submit forms to websites where you know, or reasonably ought to know, that automated submission is prohibited
- Target government portals, emergency services, healthcare intake forms, complaint systems, support ticket systems, or any form intended for a purpose other than receiving business enquiries
- Use the service to send the same or substantially similar message repeatedly to a recipient who has asked you to stop
- Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code from the extension or the dashboard, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any credit metering, rate limiting, authentication, abuse detection, or other technical control
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own product without a written agreement with us
- Use the service to build a competing product, or to train a machine learning model on our output
- Share, sell, or transfer credits, gift links, or promotional access to anyone else
5. Your Outreach Responsibilities
This is the most important obligation in these Terms. You are the sender. Every message ContactID submits is your message, sent under your sender profile, to a recipient you selected.
5.1 You are solely responsible for
- The lawfulness of contacting each website on your list
- The accuracy and honesty of every message and every sender profile
- Holding a valid lawful basis where one is required, including consent, legitimate interest, or an existing business relationship
- Honouring opt-out, unsubscribe, and do-not-contact requests promptly and permanently
- Complying with the terms of use and robots policies of the websites you contact
5.2 Laws that may apply to you
Depending on where you and your recipients are located, your outreach may be regulated by laws including but not limited to CAN-SPAM (United States), CASL (Canada), the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive (European Union and United Kingdom), PIPEDA (Canada), and equivalent legislation elsewhere. Several of these require identification of the sender, a functioning opt-out, truthful subject matter, and in some cases prior consent.
We do not review your lists or your message content, and we cannot assess whether your outreach is lawful in any given jurisdiction. Nothing in the service constitutes legal advice. If you are unsure, take advice before you send.
5.3 Sender identification
Submissions may include a short attribution line identifying that the message was sent using ContactID. This supports transparency for recipients. You must not remove, obscure, or falsify sender identification in a way that misleads a recipient about who is contacting them.
5.4 Enforcement
Where we receive credible abuse reports, or where our systems detect patterns consistent with prohibited use, we may investigate, throttle, suspend, or terminate an account under section 16. We may also comply with lawful requests from regulators, platforms, and law enforcement.
6. Credits, Plans and Pricing
6.1 How credits work
ContactID meters usage in credits. One credit corresponds to one website processed. Credits are consumed as work is performed. Prices below are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
- New accounts receive 30 free credits. These are granted once per account and do not expire while your account remains active
- Credits purchased or included with a plan do not expire while your account remains active
- Credits have no cash value, are not a stored-value instrument, and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred between accounts
6.2 Plans
| Plan | Monthly price | Websites included | Effective rate | Additional websites |
| Pay As You Go | No subscription | Buy credits as needed | $0.15 each | $0.15 each |
| Starter | $9.99 | 100 per month | $0.10 each | $0.15 each |
| Growth | $49.99 | 833 per month | $0.06 each | $0.09 each |
| Pro | $99.99 | 3,333 per month | $0.03 each | $0.05 each |
| Scale | $199.99 | 19,999 per month | $0.01 each | $0.02 each |
6.3 Annual billing
Annual plans carry a 30 percent discount against the monthly price, giving effective monthly rates of $6.99 (Starter), $34.99 (Growth), $69.99 (Pro), and $139.99 (Scale). Annual plans are a 12-month commitment billed monthly, and the annual credit allowance for the plan is made available for the annual period.
6.4 Custom credit packages
You may purchase a custom credit package at any time. Custom packages carry a 25 percent bonus on the credits your payment would otherwise buy at your plan's additional-website rate. Minimum purchase depends on your plan: $10 on Pay As You Go and Starter, $50 on Growth, $150 on Pro, and $200 on Scale.
6.5 Price changes
We may change prices, plan contents, and credit rates. For an active subscription we will give reasonable advance notice, and the change will take effect at your next renewal. Continuing to use the service after that renewal is acceptance of the new pricing. Credits you have already purchased are not repriced.
7. Billing, Renewal and Cancellation
7.1 Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Your use of Stripe is also governed by Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for all amounts due, including recurring charges and applicable taxes.
7.2 Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Monthly plans renew each month. Annual plans are billed monthly across a 12-month commitment.
7.3 Failed payments
If a payment fails, your subscription enters a 3-day grace period during which the service continues to operate. We will attempt the charge up to 3 times. If payment has not succeeded by the end of the grace period, subscription benefits are suspended. Credits already in your balance remain available.
7.4 Cancelling
- You may cancel at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals
- Monthly plans: access continues to the end of the paid period, then stops
- Annual plans: because time has been prepaid, immediate cancellation is not available while prepaid time remains. The subscription ends at the close of the current period with no further charges. If you need to exit earlier, contact [email protected]
- Credits remaining in your balance stay available to you after cancellation, subject to section 16
8. Refunds
- Credits that have already been consumed are not refundable. The work was performed
- Subscription fees for a period that has already begun are not automatically refundable
- Where a charge was made in error, was duplicated, or resulted from a failure on our side, contact us and we will investigate and correct it
- Discretionary refunds may be issued case by case. Requesting one does not create an entitlement to another
- A refund we issue may be accompanied by a corresponding reduction of the credits it purchased
- Statutory rights that cannot be excluded under the law applicable to you are unaffected by this section
To request a refund, write to [email protected] with your account email and the transaction details.
8.1 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank rather than contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is resolved. Please contact support first. It is almost always faster.
9. AI Features and AI Credits
ContactID can generate a personalized message for each website using third-party AI models. This feature is optional and is metered by a separate AI balance, which is distinct from your website credits.
- AI usage is charged against your AI balance based on the model you select and the volume of text processed
- You choose the model. Different models carry different costs and produce different output
- Where you enable automatic top-up, you authorise us to charge your payment method when the balance falls below your chosen threshold. You can disable this at any time
- AI output is generated automatically and is not reviewed by us. It may be inaccurate, generic, or unsuitable. You remain responsible for every message sent under your account, exactly as set out in section 5
- You are responsible for reviewing your prompts and templates before running a campaign
- Model availability, pricing, and behaviour depend on third-party providers and may change without notice
10. Gift Links and Promotional Access
- Gift links grant time-limited access to a specified plan. They are issued by us, and redeeming one does not create a paid subscription unless you separately purchase one
- A gift link may carry an expiry date, a redemption limit, and a fixed access duration. These are shown at redemption
- Gift and promotional access can be withdrawn where we detect abuse, including multiple accounts, automated redemption, or attempts to defeat redemption limits
- Gift links have no cash value, cannot be sold or exchanged, and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so
- When gift access ends, your account reverts to its underlying plan. Credits already granted and unused remain subject to the terms of the gift
11. CAPTCHA and Third-Party Websites
ContactID attempts to resolve CAPTCHA challenges encountered while submitting a form, in some cases using third-party solving services. You acknowledge and accept the following.
- CAPTCHA handling is best effort. Many challenges cannot be resolved, and those submissions are reported as failures
- Some websites prohibit automated form submission in their terms of use. It is your responsibility to know whether a website you target permits it, and to exclude those that do not
- We have no relationship with, and no control over, the websites you contact. We do not endorse them and we are not responsible for their content, their policies, how they handle your message, or whether they respond
- A website may block, rate limit, or take action against submissions originating from your activity. That is between you and that website
12. Intellectual Property
ContactID, including the extension, the dashboard, the underlying software, the brand, the logos, the interface, and the documentation, is owned by WATCHTHEMLIVE and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use ContactID for its intended purpose for as long as your account is in good standing. No other rights are granted, expressly or by implication.
You may not use our name, logos, or brand assets without our prior written permission, except to refer to the product factually.
13. Your Content and the Licence You Grant Us
You keep ownership of everything you put into ContactID, including your website lists, sender profiles, message templates, prompts, and campaign data ("Your Content").
You grant us a limited licence to host, store, copy, transmit, and process Your Content strictly for the purpose of operating the service for you: running your campaigns, generating AI messages where you enable that, showing you results, providing support, and meeting our legal obligations. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period or where the law requires retention.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train machine learning models. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
You represent that you have the right to submit Your Content and that doing so does not breach any law or any third party's rights.
14. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the ContactID Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It covers what we collect, how we use it, the Google API Limited Use disclosure, our sub-processors, retention periods, and your rights under the GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA.
Where you upload personal data belonging to other people, you act as the controller of that data and we act as your processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for that processing.
15. Service Availability and Changes
- We aim for high availability but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance, upgrades, or security work, and we will try to minimise disruption
- We may add, change, or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice where practical
- The service depends on third parties including Chrome, Stripe, AI model providers, CAPTCHA services, and the websites you target. Interruptions originating with them are outside our control
- Chrome extension policies are set by Google. Changes to those policies may require us to alter or remove functionality
16. Suspension and Termination
16.1 By you
You may stop using ContactID at any time, cancel your subscription from the dashboard, and delete your account from account settings. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
16.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice depending on severity, if:
- You breach these Terms, particularly sections 4 and 5
- We receive credible reports of abusive, deceptive, or unlawful outreach from your account
- You attempt to defeat credit metering, abuse free credits or gift links through multiple accounts, or interfere with our systems
- Payment is unresolved after the grace period in section 7.3
- We are required to act by law, by a regulator, or by a platform we depend on
- Continuing to serve your account would expose us or other users to material legal or security risk
16.3 Effect of termination
- Your licence to use ContactID ends immediately
- Unused credits are forfeited without refund where termination follows a breach of these Terms
- Where we terminate for convenience and you are not in breach, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription period
- Sections 5, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22 survive termination
17. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ContactID is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express, implied, or statutory. We specifically disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Without limiting that, we do not warrant that:
- Any submission will be delivered, received, read, or answered
- A contact form will be found on any given website, or that a form we find will accept our submission
- Any CAPTCHA will be resolved
- AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, original, or effective
- The service will meet your requirements or produce any particular commercial result
- Operation will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of errors
Success rates, response rates, and revenue outcomes depend on your list, your message, your industry, and factors entirely outside our control. Nothing on our marketing pages is a guarantee of results.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost goodwill, or lost data, even if we were advised such damages were possible
- We are not liable for any claim, penalty, fine, or action brought against you arising from messages sent through your account, including claims under anti-spam or data protection law
- We are not liable for the acts, omissions, content, or policies of any third-party website you contact, or of any third-party provider we rely on
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100)
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply to the maximum extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WATCHTHEMLIVE, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, demand, investigation, loss, liability, damage, penalty, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with:
- Your use of ContactID
- Any message sent from your account, and any list you imported
- Your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law, including anti-spam and data protection law
- Your infringement of any third party's rights
- Any dispute between you and a website you contacted
We will notify you of any such claim and may, at our option, participate in the defence with counsel of our choosing at our own expense.
20. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of ContactID are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, and you waive any objection based on venue or forum.
Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter in good faith by contacting [email protected] and allowing 30 days for a response and discussion.
Claims must be brought individually. To the extent permitted by law, you waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction whose law grants you the right to bring proceedings locally or to rely on mandatory local consumer protections, this section does not remove that right.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do:
- We revise the effective date and the version number at the top of this page
- For material changes, we give notice by email to your account address, by an in-product notice, or both, before the change takes effect
- Continuing to use ContactID after the effective date is acceptance of the revised Terms
- If you do not accept a change, stop using the service and cancel your subscription before the effective date
21.1 Other provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding ContactID, and replace any prior version, including the Terms dated August 25, 2025
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary
- No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control
- Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience and the English version prevails
